Finish Through Frustrations
By Greg Sanders
Often times the hardest part of any job is finishing. Somewhere between acquiring your plan, buying your supplies, and actually delivering the finished project frustrations arise that make you want to quit. It happens in home projects, on the job, and even serving God in ministries. Frustration always sticks it ugly head up and points out a great place to turn around and quit. Hebrews 10 delivers us a message that encourages us to finish through our frustrations.
Hebrews 10:35 Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. 36 For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised.
In order to conquer frustration you have to learn how to endure. Endurance means you have the ability to bare prolonged hardship. In other words, endurance means you carry on and do the right things even though you’re frustrated. Now, that does not sound fun nor does it make sense unless you look again at the scripture. When you look at the scripture you see that God’s promises follow seasons of endurance. So if we cannot learn the skill of finishing and following through even when we are frustrated, we will miss the joy of the promise.
Today’s Challenge: God’s Word is full of promises for His kids. In pursuing His best, you will have to pursue Him though frustrations. Don’t allow the struggles along the journey convince you that the prize is not worth the pain. Endure! Finish even though you’re frustrated and you will discover the rewards that only God can give.
Blessings,
Greg
