I Am Thankful Jesus Hears My Prayer

I Am Thankful Jesus Hears My Prayer

By Greg Sanders

Luke 17:12 As he was going into a village, ten men who had leprosy met him. They stood at a distance 13 and called out in a loud voice, “Jesus, Master, have pity on us!” 14 When he saw them, he said, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were cleansed.

These ten men called out to Jesus and Jesus heard their prayer. This one prayer changed these men’s lives forever. Did you know that is the potential your prayer carries? Nothing can change your life more than praying to Jesus because He hears every prayer.

Psalm 34:15 states that “The eyes of the LORD watch over those who do right; his ears are open to their cries for help.” I am thankful that Jesus is poised to listen to our cries. Each night, my wife and I sleep with a little video monitor on the nightstand so that we can see and hear what our daughter wants during the night. Why do we do this? We do this because she is our child and we are concerned. The second reason we do this is because we cannot stay awake all night long. The Bible lets us know that our Heavenly Father does not need a monitor. He does not grow weary and He never sleeps. His eyes are on His children and I am thankful that He is listening to our prayer this morning.

Today’s Challenge: Pray with thanksgiving and confidence knowing that Jesus hears your prayer.

Happy Thanksgiving,

Greg
