Are You Going Through It?
By Greg Sanders

There are times in life where you feel like you are just going through it. “It” meaning every problem that you could ever imagine and some that you did not even know existed. It seems as though there are seasons where the fire gets turned up and the pressures of life seem overwhelming. During those seasons it is important to remember that your struggles do not change God’s divine strategy and purpose for your life. Sometimes those pressures and struggles are actually refining you and preparing you for His strategic purpose in your life.

Psalm 66:12 says, “…We went through fire and flood, but you brought us to a place of great abundance.” If you are going through “it” today then I want to challenge you to remember that there is something on the other side of the fire. There is something on the other side of the flood. If you persevere through the fire and flood seasons of your life you will experience a place of abundance that God has prepared for you.

Think of it this way: your current fire may actually be the vehicle God is using to bring you to the next place of His abundance in your life. One of the reasons that these seasons of pressure and refining comes is that God is always moving us to higher places of relationship with Him. These higher places with Him may require going through some fiery places to get there. The good news is that He will be with you in the fire and in the flood.

Today’s Challenge: Realize that God can use your current struggle to bring you to a new place of abundance. You don’t have to be excited about the fire and floods of life. Just understand that God can not only deliver you out of those places but also deliver you to a place where you discover Him in a greater measure. Pray with me today that God will continue to deliver us to places of His abundance even if it means walking through the fire.
