God’s Unique Role for Your Life – Part 3
By Greg Sanders

Psalm 139:14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

God has a distinct role for your life. You are a one-of-a-kind creation prepared for strategic participation in God’s Kingdom. However, at certain seasons of your life, you may prefer to avoid the role God has for you. Stepping into the role that God has for you may not always be attractive. If you look through the word of God you have to admit that sometimes what God called men and women to do was not their first choice of how to spend their life or spend at least a season of their life. However, if you avoid the role, you also avoid the grace and the power that God wants to channel through your life.

I’m sure that Daniel preferred not to live in Babylon but God used him in that place. What if the place and the role you are trying to avoid is actually an opportunity that God has uniquely designed for you to accomplish?
At some point in your life you will have some distinct roles that God has prepared for you to fill that will be at odds with your prepared role. Here is the good news: God gives you grace for those distinct roles. After you’ve been faithful in your distinct role, God may open the door to another role that is both unique and preferred. Don’t discount an opportunity that may not seem preferable. It may be a distinct opportunity that God has prepared for you to discover a new measure of His grace.

Today’s Challenge: Focus on following God through the doors that He is opening to you. Realize that He can cause you to be fruitful no matter the circumstance around you. Pray that He will give you grace to accomplish His distinct role for your life.
