All The Power You Need
By Greg Sanders
Zechariah 4:6 So he said to me, “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty.
Have you ever had to tackle a task that seemed bigger then you or your ability? It can be disheartening, depressing and downright demoralizing. Most things God ask us to do for Him seem impossible if you look at the task through the lens of your own ability. Zerubbabel had the task of building the temple. It seemed impossible. It seemed like it would take an army of builders and an insurmountable amount of money. In the mist of facing this huge demand God reminds him of His vast supply. Remember God’s supply for your life is greater than the demands that life places on you.
God said to Zerubbabel, “it is not going to be by your power or your resource that this great task will be accomplished. Instead, it will be the power and provision of God that enables you to do what God has called you to do.” Don’t attempt to do the work of God in your own power. Your power is not enough, but His power is all the power you need.
Today’s Challenge: Examine the task that God is speaking to your heart about facing. It could be a personal transformation or it could be an assignment through a local ministry He is calling you to lead. Whether the challenge is personal or corporate it can be intimidating. Don’t measure this opportunity by your ability, but rather see it through God’s ability. He has all the power you need. |
