Shameless Audacity
By Greg Sanders

Audacity is the willingness to take bold risk. In the process of following Jesus, your faith is going to demand that you take some bold risk. One of those risks that is often overlooked is the act of persistence in a specific direction even though you have not seen any improvement or hope of change. However, if God sets the direction, you must be audacious enough to continue until His plan comes to past.

Persistence has two major enemies. One is time and the other is circumstance. Sometimes you must persist in doing the right thing through a long season. You must be audacious enough to continue no matter how long it takes. You must persist despite how overwhelming the circumstances may seem. Sometimes your faith may seem audacious because of what you’re asking, at other times it may seem audacious because of the season of waiting you must endure. However, the Bible reminds us that God rewards shameless audacity in seeking Him.

Luke 11:18 “I tell you, even though he will not get up and give you the bread because of friendship, yet because of your shameless audacity he will surely get up and give you as much as you need.”

Jesus gives this parable to lead His people to bold confidence and assurance of seeking Him. Jesus says, “if an unjust person on earth will respond to shameless audacity, how much more will your father who loves you respond to such bold faith.” You do not have to live life at the mercy of your current surroundings. Express bold faith. Be audacious enough to bring your needs to Jesus and then be obedient to what He says.

Today’s Challenge: Realize that with God you have an open door to let your needs and request be known to God. Be audacious in bringing the issues of your life to Him.
