Part 3: God Desires to Work Through You

2 Corinthians 5:20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us.

God desires to make His appeal for reconciliation through you. He does not want to work around you or beside you; He wants to work through you. Therefore, we must ensure that our conversation brings healing and not division. We must go out of our way to offer hope and healing to anyone who may seem maligned or marginalized by life. Jesus is the door to healing whatever is broken.

Christ is making His appeal through His church. If healing does not come through His church, it will not come to our nation. You cannot outsource the work of the church to the government, to non-profit organizations, or any other body. It is not that these other bodies are bad; it is the simple fact that God has given the ministry of reconciliation to His church. His church is the only agency that He has empowered to bring healing. There is no body like His body that can share the grace of Jesus with everybody. You are not called to sit on the sideline and hope things get better. You are part of the solution God wants to use to heal our land.

Today’s Challenge: Be part of bringing healing and reconciliation to our nation through prayer. Participate in reconciliation through managing your conversation and initiating healing conversations with others.
