Be an Agent of Change
By Greg Sanders

Let God speak through you to the impossible issues in your life. In Ezekiel 37:4, the prophet receives an order to speak to the impossible things around him. The verse reads “Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord!” God takes you and shows you impossible places so that you can change them; not so you will be destroyed by them. Your impossible situation is not always evidence that God has forsaken you or that you have missed the will of God.

I am convinced we should fear smooth sailing more than rocky terrain. Someone once said,Don’t let the presence of a giant convince you that you are in the wrong field. Rather, fear if you see no giant because then you may be in the wrong field.” If the devil cannot starve you out, he will often bless you to the point that you starve yourself by forgetting your real source. God allows us to venture into places that demand His power and then delivers His power to us and through us as we speak His word.

God will take you to desolate places, not to forsake you, but so that you can be an agent of transformation in that place. You must realize that as a believer you are intended to be an agent of change. Sometimes you don’t even like change and yet God is going to use you to bring His change to other people’s life.

Today’s Challenge: Don’t be so dismayed by what you see that you miss what God wants to do through you. You are not a victim of your surroundings, but rather a strategically placed change agent. Pray that God will use you today to bring change to your life and the lives of those around you.

P.S. If you are in the Camden area, join us Sunday morning at Camden First Assembly as I share this complete message as part of the series “Let God Speak.” For more information and service times go to www.camdenfirstassembly.org
