Firm Up Your Faith
By Greg Sanders

Isaiah 7:9…Unless your faith is firm, I cannot make you stand firm.”

No demonstration of God’s power will be able to bring stability and security in your life until your faith is firmly planted in Him. Faith in God is not dependent on our latest news report or the situations we see around us. Faith in God is not even based on the great things we have seen Him do in the past. Faith in God is focused on God’s ability, character, and heart for His children. Until you understand that you are the prized possession of the Father, you will struggle to trust Him with your life. Until you trust Him, you will always waver in your ability to walk in His power.

James 1:8 says, “A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” Until you are firm in your faith, you will be insecure in all other areas of your life. The path of God’s blessings comes by taking one step of faith at a time. Too many times believers take one step of faith followed by four steps of fear. This type of activity will never deliver the plan that God has for your life. God’s activity in your life is not limited by the circumstances around you. The only limiting factor in your life is the ability to place your faith in Him. How do you place your faith in Him? Trust and obey Him one step at a time.

Today’s Challenge: Realize that God’s power is greater than everything you are facing. Declare today that He is your help, your strength, and your shield. Stand firm in your faith by focusing on the One who cannot fail.
