Power Greater Than Your Own
By Greg Sanders

Deuteronomy 9:1 says, “Hear, O Israel: Thou art to pass over Jordan this day, to go in to possess nations greater and mightier than thyself, cities great and fenced up to heaven.”

God has a track record of calling His people to accomplish things above their own ability and influencing places beyond their familiarity to make an impact that outlasts their own lives. As God’s people we often like to operate in our own comfort. We must remember that God has called us out of our comfort and into a place of total dependence and trust on Him.

A few years ago, an office company came out with a button that was called the “Easy Button.” Every time you faced a difficult problem you just pushed the button and it was done. God does not give us an easy button; He gives us something better. God provides us a trust option. When we trust in Him, He takes what was impossible and leads us to victory. It may not be made easy, but you will discover what it is to walk in His power.

Today’s Challenge: Realize that God is calling you to greater things. God is calling you to a life that will have challenges, but He will give you the power triumph. Realize that the battle you are facing is only evidence of the grace that God has in store for you.
