Choose to Believe
By Greg Sanders
Acts 27:25 Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me.
Paul makes this statement as a prisoner aboard a sinking ship. He was caught in a storm that had every experienced sailor convinced that death was imminent. However, Paul choose to believe the Word of God spoken to him over what he saw in front of him. Choosing to believe God is not a choice you make when you see all the answers and understand all the conditions. Choosing to believe God is a choice you make when you see no way out at all, except the help of God.
Paul believed God. Paul believed God despite what he saw. Paul believed God despite what had not changed.Paul believed God even though he had to believe alone. In your life you may have to believe through a season of unchanging circumstances. You may have to believe God at times when you are all alone. You may have to believe God when it seems there is no physical way out. However, believing God means that you are convinced that God make ways beyond what you see.
Today’s Challenge: Despite what you see, feel or are currently experiencing. Choose to believe God. He keeps His word. |
