God is Your Help!
By Greg Sanders
1 Timothy 1: 12 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has enabled me, because He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry,
God enables you to do what He puts in your heart to do. Paul was one of the most qualified and educated men in the New Testament church. Perhaps only Dr. Luke had more education than the Apostle Paul. However, Paul does not consider his formal education or his raising at the feet of Gamaliel (Acts 22) the enabling factor in His life. Paul says it is His power that enables me to do all that I do.
No amount of skill can substitute for the enabling power of Jesus. Should you learn all you can? Yes. Should you try to do the best that you can? Absolutely. However, you must understand that your best efforts are still just human efforts and cannot transform anything without His help.
The good news is that just as Jesus enabled Paul to go through all he had to go through and to minister in all the opportunities that came his way. Jesus will also enable you to minister and thrive in every season of your life.
Today’s Challenge: Realize that Jesus is with you to enable you to do all He has put in your heart. |
