Connecting to the Kingdom Culture – Part 4

You were designed for the Kingdom.

Matthew 25:34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.

You were designed for the Kingdom, and the Kingdom was designed for you. Jesus said in John 14:2 “My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?” Jesus is actively doing at least two things right now. He is interceding for us to be successful in this life and He is preparing a place for us in the next life. He is interceding on our behalf that we would be fully prepared here for the Kingdom He is preparing for us in Heaven.

You were not designed to be dominated by sin. Jesus told Peter in Luke 22:32 that he was going to sin… “But I have prayed for you that your faith will not fail. Afterwards, strengthen your brothers.” Jesus let Peter know, “You are going to fail, but you are not meant for failure.” I have a designed you for a specific work and prepared for you beyond your failure. I also have designed a place prepared for you. Sin does not have to have the final say in our lives. Human beings have no place in hell. It was created for the devil and all his servants. The goal of the enemy is to derail you from your designed destination. Set your sights on the place that has been prepared for you.

Have you noticed that the bigger the event the more preparation people put into it? Have you ever hung out with a bride a few weeks before her wedding? She gets very intense about the upcoming event. Why? She is preparing for it to be perfect. She plans out who stands where. She plans what song will be sung. She picks out what the wedding party is going wear…even what other people will wear. She is consumed with preparation. Part of the Kingdom Culture we must embrace is remembering that this life is preparation for the next. It’s amazing how we go to great lengths to prepare for races, events, and hobbies but we spend so little time preparing for eternity. You were uniquely designed to be part of God’s Kingdom, and you must prepare for that right here on earth.

We embrace Kingdom Culture when we prepare for what is prepared for us.

How do we prepare for what is prepared for us? Do now what you will do then.

• In His coming Kingdom, we will be surrounded by His presence and join the angels in worship, so we should worship Him now. You were designed for worship.
• In His coming Kingdom, we will enjoy fellowship with other believers. Therefore, invest in fellowshipping with believers now. You were designed to be part of a local body.
• In His coming Kingdom, we will be in awe of His holiness. Knowing this, we should strive to live holy lives here on earth. That is what you were designed to do.

We live in the culture of earth, but we were designed for the culture of heaven. All we do, how we live, is the evidence that we are preparing for what is ahead. Invite the Kingdom Culture in your life today by practicing now what we will participate in then.
